The A Team

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, we are committed to providing our clients in multiple states with a detailed consultation tailored to their specific insurance needs. Meet some of our team below:

Eric McGuffie

Eric McGuffie is the Agency Owner and CEO of Axxess Benefit Consultants based in metro Atlanta, Georgia. He began his insurance career 29 years ago in Los Angeles, California where he excelled in selling Life, Health, and Long Term Care Insurance. During his 14 years with Humana as a Sales Manager where he recruited, trained, developed, and led an internal sales team, Eric was also responsible for the support and growth of Humana’s External Sales Channel. This role afforded him the opportunity to cultivate many authentic relationships that led him into his next endeavor, establishing Axxess Benefit Consultants.

At Axxess Benefit Consultants, Eric leads a team of licensed insurance agents who provide individuals with the product knowledge they seek when trying to navigate the complex insurance maze. Taking that approach enables everyone to make an informed and intelligent decision. Eric continues to strengthen the relationships he built in his previous role as he cultivates an agency where its core values are integrity, respect, and providing value.

When Eric is not busy orchestrating opportunities for the Axxess team, he enjoys cooking for his family, cutting his own grass, taking walks, and playing with his grandchildren.

Leslie McGuffie

Leslie McGuffie is the Chief Operating Officer of Axxess Benefit Consultants. In her current role, she oversees financial operations, contracting, communications, and administrative management. As a licensed Life & Health insurance agent for the last 12 years, she also enjoys helping her clients fully understand their healthcare coverage options.

Leslie is also a Certified Health Coach who teaches group classes on healthy aging for Axxess Benefits' community partners. Her passion for making healthy lifestyle choices allows her to be a source of information for the Axxess team, and others who are motivated to learn how to age well.

Prior to joining the world of insurance, Leslie was a features reporter for the Long Beach Press Telegram in California, which she was excited to do after graduating from the University of Southern California School of Journalism. But the passion and purpose of her life was being a stay-at-home mom to her and Eric's six sons. When she's not helping clients or the Axxess team, she enjoys spending time with her family and listening to live music at outdoor concert venues.

Jordan McGuffie

Jordan McGuffie is an Agency Development Manager at Axxess Benefit Consultants, where he guides beneficiaries and their families through the healthcare maze while also serving as a liaison between Axxess team members and our community partners.

He began his journey in insurance sales by knocking door-to-door selling Final Expense before becoming a Medicare specialist, and strongly believes in providing the tools and information necessary for individuals to make easy and informed decisions regarding their life and health coverage.

Prior to joining Axxess, Jordan was responsible for managing a fine dining concept for Brewed to Serve Restaurant Group where he was successful in maintaining long-standing relationships with patrons and organizations through various modes of communication, along with providing memorable guest experiences through service.

A graduate from Georgia State University, Jordan holds a degree in Sociology. When not hard at work creating engagement opportunities for Axxess agents, he enjoys spending time with his family, solving brain teaser puzzles, and trying out new restaurants.

Drew McGuffie

Drew McGuffie is the Compliance Officer at Axxess Benefit Consultants, where he ensures that the agency operates in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Drew is known for his attention to detail and his analytical mindset. He remains actively engaged within the community to stay abreast of emerging trends and regulatory changes in regards to agents serving the insurance needs of their clients.

Drew has been a licensed insurance agent for five years, and he has a background in the financial services industry, He spent 11 years building a career that progressed from bank teller to Member Services Agent to Business Analyst. During that time he developed great relationships which adds value to what he brings to our organization.

A 2011 Georgia State University Graduate with a bachelor's degree in Sociology, Drew enjoys spending his spare time learning about people and their stories, staying active, watching basketball, working on his brand and most importantly spending time with his wife and daughter.

Lance McGuffie

Lance McGuffie is a CRM Specialist at Axxess Benefit Consultants, where he manages the client relationship management system for the Axxess Benefits team of agents. His responsibility is to maximize the efficiency of the CRM data and software to enhance the services that agents provide to their clients.

He began his journey in the Life and Health insurance industry by following in his family’s footsteps upon receiving his license, and works hard to continue to carry the legacy of educating the community about their benefits. Lance dreams of expanding the Axxess brand into urban communities to make sure prospective clients have access to care that would help to improve their quality of life. He believes proper education can lead to generational health and wellness.

When not hard at work, Lance enjoys writing poetry/music and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Terri Hill

Terri Hill is a Marketing and Business Development Consultant for Axxess Benefit Consultants, where she facilitates and supports the entire team with grassroots efforts and digital marketing initiatives to enhance community engagement.

Her career spans over three decades, beginning with her roles as Proposal Coordinator then Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist at UnitedHealth Group. Her 10-year tenure there laid a solid foundation for 13 years at Humana, Inc. At Humana, she supported captive and independent insurance agents in her roles as Manager of Sales Administration and Sales and Marketing Executive. The latter role afforded her the opportunity to sharpen her knowledge of lead generation and grassroots community engagement methods in Georgia and North Florida.

Also, while at Humana, Terri became a Subject Matter Expert in digital and social media marketing. She was often called upon to galvanize teams on the subject nationwide. Terri and Marcus Hill have a beautiful, blended family of 5 living children (1 child who is deceased) and 4 grandchildren.

Kimberley Newman

Kimberley Newman is a Training Specialist for Axxess Benefit Consultants where she equips agents with the information and motivation needed to serve their clients with integrity, care, and concern for their insurance needs. She develops training programs that focus on enhancing product knowledge and customer relationship-building.

Born in California and deeply connected to her Hispanic heritage, Kimberley has always been propelled by a strong desire to serve and support her community. Her commitment to public service began with her three-year tenure in the U.S. Army, followed by 20 years as an Army spouse. Her professional journey in the insurance industry began with Aflac, then with Humana where she spent 14 years as a top agent in Life, Health, Medicare, and Long Term Care insurance.

Kimberley is also the founder and partner at Medicare In Motion, a family-operated firm which she co-leads with her daughter Brieghanna Wilson. In her spare time, she continues to enjoy educating and supporting her clients, playing pickleball, and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
